Discussions about the thrill of the Great Outdoors| Collectors Hunting Knife | | I have an engraved hunting knife with a gut hook, a bone Shealth with a leopard engraving, along with a layer of cherry wood and a patterned stainless steel runner in the middle of the handle. The length of the blade is 4.5 inches, with etchings on both sides of the blade that appears to be a brocade design (circular plume like drawings of a climbing flower/bush). The base of the shealth below the blade is etched with the same design. The maker/artist is Finney is imprinted on one side of the blade, and his intials "RCF" is engraved on the other side of the blade. The knife comes with a leather casing, which is etched with the same design on the blades.

| | Dangerous Parenting? | | As some of my friends here already know, I have been babysitting my neighbour's little girl, since she was eight months old. She's now seven years old, and is in grade two. I still do some after school care for her.'Both' of her parents are avid hunters. They can't wait for hunting season to begin here, each year. They have passed this love of hunting on to their only daughter. This is especially true of her dad. This little girl has become obsessed with hunting. She often wears various types of camouflage clothing. Her favourite pass time is to play with different types of toy guns.She has just recently told me, that her dad has bought her a 'real hunting knife.' This knife has quite a long blade, fits into a sheath, and can be hung from a belt. I 'know' she's not making this up. Her dad has also allowed her to use guns with his supervision, for target practice. She has accompanied him into the woods, while he hunts.Her family has been having some very serious trouble, since this past spring. I'm curious as to how other people have experienced Silent Hill.I find this series to be intriguing, deep, and mysterious genre of video game. It seems as though there is a huge unexplained mystery surrounding that mysterious mining town and the games only scratch the surface of the entire idea. | | I lost my phone to a holdupper last September 16. | | Last Tuesday at past 6pm, I lost my cellphone to a holdupper. We were in the same PUJ (Public Utility Jeepney, a public transport here in the Philippines). He was seated close to the PUJ's exit while I was seated halfway to the exit. So we weren't actually sitting next to each other, but we were on the same side of the jeepney. There were only 4 of us passengers, the other 2 are high school students seated opposite our side. There was even a barker ("condoktor", the driver's assistant who collects the fare from passengers and who stays on the PUJ's exit). Not very long the holdupper was already inches beside me pointing a hunting knife at my waist. He told me he just wanted my cellphone. I didn't know what to do. But I didn't like to give him my phone. But he pushed the knife closer to my skin and asked me what I wanted to happen. I told him, "All right, I'm giving it to you now!". But I was still thinking of what else I could do. I searched for my phone very slowly and he was becoming impatient. The 2 students and the barker got to see what was happening.
